Nosecone crack |
This album shows how I repaired the nose of my DLG. Also, check out the FlyHow system.
Nosecone was cracked after the dive-in. The crack was almost circular, glass was broken in several places and the whole area was very soft. As you can see, the nosecone was already patched several times. There was also a blob of lead glued into the top of the nosecone to make it fit the fuselage and in order to add the ballast. But due to the rebuild of the tail I did not need so much noseweight anymore. I decided do not repair the nosecone but build a new one.
